In making and enjoying beer we often reference gravity (sugar content).  A beer’s gravity can tell you a lot about its characteristics: how it will taste, its mouthfeel, and how much alcohol there will be.  Generally speaking, if a beer has a lower initial gravity it will have a lower alcohol content.  In the case of Jason Held and Jaron Mitchell lower gravity literally means no gravity; as in weightlessness.

What do you get when a rocket scientist and a brewer team up?  It’s one of those questions you often ask yourself but always assume would be left unanswered.  Well today we know the answer: Space Beer.  After a few tweaks to a stout recipe, the duo thinks they’ve created a brew worthy of the stars.  We just hope it tastes better than Astronaut Ice Cream.
