Americans take their sports very seriously and having a few beers at the game is on par with turkey at Thanksgiving.  It’s no secret that fans pay a premium to tip back a cold one at the stadium and the NBA is no exception.  Hoops fans can expect to pay an average of $6.08 per pint and significantly more depending on their home arena.

The New Jersey Nets have the dubious honor of charing the most for a beer at $.48/ounce.  Harvard grad Jeremy Lin has sparked the Linsanity craze in recent weeks, but you can forget sending your kids to the Ivy League after spending $.43/ounce for beer at Madison Square Garden.  Looking for a bargain?  Make your way to Detroit where a beer will only run you $.29/ounce.
