Baseball may be America’s pastime, but football in undoubtedly this country’s present-time. The popularity of the sport is at an all-time high as evidenced by TV ratings steadily increasing over the last five years and paid attendance hovering around 17 million per season for the last decade.
American football wouldn’t be American football without a cold beer and those 17 million fans show up to games expecting to toss back a few. Everyone knows that buying a few beers at a sporting event will leave a nice dent in your wallet, but it turns out that there’s a significant difference in beer price depending on your team.
The average price for a beer at an NFL game is punch-in-gut $7.13. However, If you happen to be a Packers fan not only are fortunate to root for the best team in the NFL but you only have to pay $5.25 for a brew. If you are a Browns fan you can drink your sorrows away at a league low of $5.00/beer. Conversely, if you back the lowly St. Louis Rams you get hit with a brutal one-two punch of a last place team and a first place price of $9.00 per beer.
Bottom line: don’t be a Rams fan.
